Chinese macro-economy has maintained a continuous rapid growth for more than a decade, and the disposable income of Chinese residents is keeping on rising, which has created some favorable developing space for the development of Chinese automotive industry, and sufficient market opportunities for the automotive spare part industry. The impact of WTO on the automotive spare part industry is gradually emerging. With the ending of the transition stage, the WTO is exerting more influence on Chinese automotive industry. Various kinds of gradually-emerging policy effects bring a series of changes to the automotive and spare part industries. The enforcement of Policy on Automotive Industry Development is accelerating the adjustment of the automotive and spare part industries. During the two years after Policy on Automotive Industry Development was issued, the intent of the Policy has been manifested well with the positive impacts on six aspects. The competition between Chinese and foreign automotive brands has compelled the integrated automotive industry to put forward definite requirements for the core capability of the automotive spare part industry on the aspects of cost, quality and mode of supply in order to enhance the competitiveness of their products on the automotive market in China. New developing tendencies are displaying on the production pattern, associated market, development mode and capital structure in the automotive spare part industry, which requires the spare part enterprises conform to the developing tendencies of the automotive and spare part industries, and select the proper development strategies including the competition strategy, technology strategy, market strategy and other key strategies.
