This study describes traditional Chinese furniture ergonomics thinking on Ming Official Hat Chair. The main goal is to understand the ergonomics thinking by ancestry whether the furniture was adapted to human. We use structuralism and human factors evaluation technique to assay the ancestry's ergonomics thinking. We generalize those design factors according the Ming Official Hat Chair form literature and measuring the practical Ming Official Hat Chair to compare with the anthropometry data in IOSH of Taiwan R.O.C. In addition, such ergonomics thinking can also serve as the basis for other traditional Chinese furniture.
