Approach of Main Characters from Space Controlling Design Process in Retail Revitalization of Historical Blocks—Previous Work of POE

摘要

More and more retail revitalization of historical blocks projects are or will be taken in China and these projects have deserved much attention. Space controlling design process decides the final public space frame and has great influence on the built-up blocks. This article tries to extract some "main characters" from that design process through comparing, summarizing and estimating two famous cases' (Shanghai Xintiandi and the Old Bund of Ningbo) design files and their built-up result. Some elementary findings and conclusions will be used as continuing POE study's objects and problems.
