Research on the Application of Book Locating Technology in Library Shelving Management for Universities and Colleges

Book shelving and locating is a highly useful book management method, which could shorten the book search time of readers and improve the efficiency of book management. Focusing on the application of book locating technology in the library shelving management of Wuhan University of Technology, this paper explores how different book locating methods bring convenience to the book management of library in universities and colleges. The practical experience reveals the improvement of reader satisfaction and management efficiency by selecting a suitable locating method for books in terms of management mode and circulation.
