An analysis of the advantages using the architectural concept of the following NGN (Next Generation Network) and future FN (Future Network) networks to build optical multi-service telecommunication systems based on the technology spectral separation information channels, supporting a wide range multimedia services, was carried out. Efficiency, communication quality and transfer characteristics fiber-optic communication networks using optical means as receiving optical modules (ROM), fiber-optic cables (FOC) and transmitting optical modules (TOM) were investigated. Based on the study, a new approach has been proposed to create methods for calculating the throughput indicators fiber-optic communication networks based on spectral separation technology, which are based on the principles wavelength multiplexing. Based on calculation methods, analytical expressions are obtained to estimate line performance, optical signal-to-noise ratio at the output communication lines and transfer characteristics fibre-optic communication lines using single-mode fiber.
