It is important for an oil field to find the most economical solution to pipeline construction. This paper introduces some mathematical models for solving these problems, according to the different cases of the distance from two refineries to railway line and the distance between two refineries, puts forward the corresponding design. And the paper also considers the difference between shared pipeline costs and non-shared pipeline costs in the design. Meanwhile, according to the factors, including the specific locations of two oil refineries, the additional charges for the project compensation, the pipeline laying costs, and the costs of oil pipe, we obtain the corresponding mathematical models and the best design of pipelines laying. In particular, these models and algorithms have better generality.
