A Study on the evolution of Chinese rural residence in the area of south of Yangtze River (1)-Taking Mr. HU’s family cluster in Jiangsu Province as case study

Although Chinese construction level between urban and rural area in south of the Yangtze River caused by historical development problem is still showing a fragmented situation of duality. However, a huge improving space for future development of rural residence in this region is beneficial to the alleviation and coordination of such differences, so as to achieve the harmonious development between urban and rural areas. The perspective of time6) is the fundamental key of this study to understand the problem of replacement of rural residence in this region, which can help the coming architectural design of rural residences from a long-term position to understand the importance its continuity, but not its perfect individual form among a fragment time.
