We aimed to investigate the syndrome of Sini decoction pattern. The Sini decoction was first mentioned in Shang Han Za Bing Lun, then was developed into Sini decoction pattern (SDP) by Sun Simiao's Qian Jin Yi Fang. In order to obtain a common definition of SDP, we send questionnaires to 300 Senior Clinical TCM practitioners. From the survey we drew two main symptoms for SDP: 1. pulse feels sunken or faint, 2. Qi and blood circulation of the hands and feet are lack coordination and feel cold. We collected patients of SDP based on the above two symptoms. Twelve patients with SDP and twelve individuals non-SDP had been collected in Taipei City Hospital of Taiwan, Kunming Branch of Chinese medicine outpatient. All of the participated patients had been obtained informed consent.
