摘要

Turpentine,is one of the most widely produced secondary metabolites of plants.Two major components of turpentine,namely α-pinene andβ-pinene,can be isolated from the crude material and have extensive applications in solvents,resin precursors, pharmaceutical intermediates and commodities.The isomerization and dimerization of pinenes have aroused attention from the world. Recently,we studied the dimerization of pinenes using Al- incorporated MCM-41 as catalyst .It is found that the activity is closely related to the concentration of moderate and strong acid. Moreover,the product distribution of dimerization is very similar regardless the kind of pinene used,which suggests that crude turpentine,instead of pure pinenes,can be used to produce useful chemicals.With this consideration,in the present work ,we conducted a comparative study on the isomerization and dimerization of pinenes and crude turpentine,and the result demonstrates the feasibility of using crude turpentine to replace pure pinenes.In addition,we supported HPW on MCM-41 and obtained more active catalysts.So it may suggests a more efficient and cheap way for turpentine utilization.
