Objective: This article investigates and analyzes the current situation of filial piety of college students in the new era, as well as its existing problems and influencing factors, and provides some useful references and references for practically enhancing the effectiveness of filial piety education for college students. Method: Using the method of cluster random sampling, The article randomly conducted a sample survey on filial piety issues among students from Shaoyang University, Hunan Agricultural University, and Hunan Biomechanical and Vocational Technical College. The survey contents included respect for parents, care for parents, and satisfaction. Parents' expectation and spiritual comfort. Results: There is a significant difference in the only child of college students in respect of parents: $mathrm{F}(1,376)=11.166, mathrm{P}=0.000< 0.05$, there is a significant difference, the non-only child ($ext{Mean}=4.8$) is significantly more significant than the only child ($ext{Mean}=4.51$) well done. Meeting the expectations of parents' achievements is also an important aspect of filial piety practice. When asked “Do you study hard and get positive results for your parents?” Nearly 30% (27.6%) of students answered “a lot of”, more than three points One (36.4%) of the students answered “more”, and 31% of the people selected “general”. More than half (64%) of the students can study hard and be proactive, achieve results that make their parents proud, and satisfy their parents' expectations. For the questions of academic expectations, 31% of students choose “general”, not understanding that this is also a manifestation of filial parents. In terms of giving parents psychological comfort, only 30.7% of them can often take the initiative to communicate emotionally with their parents, understand their parents' inner needs, and a considerable number of respondents chose “general”, indicating that many college students are concerned about their parents' health. At the same time, most of them ignored the psychological care for their parents. Conclusion: The mainstream of filial piety of college students in the new era is healthy, positive, and progressive, but it also shows that the filial behavior of students is far less than their cognition of filial piety. Society, schools and families need to strengthen filial education for college students and promote the development of filial education.
