Electrical engineering and electronics is a professional basic course that is just involved for students. It has many teaching contents and is difficult to learn. Moreover, the course develops rapidly and is widely used. In the teaching process, it shows strong conceptuality, many theories, and flexible circuit changes. It is difficult to understand, difficult to remember and difficult to learn. The traditional teaching model can no longer meet the demand, and the teaching model needs to be reformed urgently. This article takes the design of a digital electronic clock that is closely connected to real life as the subject task. The teacher puts forward the requirements. By training students to consult materials, discuss with classmates, design circuits, error correction and rectification, and simulation, the learning process is deepened. The knowledge and understanding of the theoretical knowledge of the circuit part have tested the students’ ability to apply what they have learned in the classroom to practice, which has improved the students’ interest in learning and the ability to think independently, laying a good foundation for cultivating students’ ability to learn for life.
