Chapter 5 by German Berrios is very dense and demanding, requiring a lot of attention and, preferably, some theoretical background as well. However, this should not scare a potential reader because the chapter is accessible even if one does not fully grasp all of its conceptual and theoretical references. The topic is "change in psychopathology," more specifically, a change in clinical manifestations over large spans of history (i.e., centuries).
