Measurements of Non-volatile Aerosols with a VTDMA and Their Correlations with Carbonaceous Aerosols in Guangzhou, China

In China, the worsening of visibility degradation associated with particulate matters (PM) is of increasing concern in recent years. Numerous studies on air pollution were therefore carried out in different cities including the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region which is a fast-development economic zone (Tan et al., 2013). One of the potential contributors is carbonaceous particles comprising a significant fraction in aerosols, particularly in the sub-micrometer size range (Venkataraman et al., 1994).
