Execution of educational measures in the new criminal regulation in Romania

In Romania, given the international and European criminal liability of the minors regulations and that the current one is outdated, an ample criminal reform is being created, in order to ensure a more modern regulation, in conformity with international standards in this field.The new criminal codes have substantially reformed the institution of criminal liability of minors, fully renouncing punishment for juvenile offender and instituting a sanctioning system based solely on educational measures, custodial or non-custodial, the rule consisting of applying non-custodial educational measures in the case of minors.
