The seed mass vs. plant height relationship of gymnosperm is different from that of angiosperm

Seed mass is among the leading ecological traits strategies of plants (Westoby ef a/2002). The largest single contributor of seed mass variation is the divergence between angiosperm and gymnosperm. Plant height (or life-form) is correlated with seed mass for angiosperm(Moles et al 2005), but the seed mass vs. plant height pattern for gymnosperm is unclear (Moles et al 2004).
