Looking at the Product Life Cycle, it is important to develop carefully, calculate systematically, produce as scheduled, and deliver in time to satisfy customer expectations. Before starting production of a profile, it is recommended to determine the expected extrusion speed and to calculate the sales price. Sales determination with ExPD is an example of a systematic pre-sales determination. When the product is being produced, the key factor for completing the job profitably is in monitoring in real time. The focus should be on watching if the billet is produced according to the calculated cycle time, and making sure that the order is produced without interruptions. Process monitoring with Extrusion Process Monitoring (EPM) & Down Time Monitoring (DTM); EPM will watch if there is a deviation to the planned time for producing a billet/order. DTM will monitor time losses and unplanned delay in the cycles. The result is displayed in real time.
