摘要

Organoaluminium compounds have been explored as reagents or catalysts for organometallic transformations and organic syntheses for a number of years.1,2 Recent years their use as initiators in the ring opening polymerisation (ROP) of cyclic esters to produce biodegradable polyesters has attracted much attention.3 The catalytic performances by such aluminium complexes could be ‘fine-tuned' by variation of the steric and electronic properties of the ancillary ligands.In our group,late transition metal complexes with designed ligands have been extensively studied for their ability to act as highly active pro-catalysts in ethylene oligomerisation/polymerisation.We are interested in extending our ligands to prepare aluminum complexes and investigating their catalytic behavior for ROP of ε-CL.4,5 In this talk,the new progress about bidentate aluminum complex and their catalysis for ring opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone and laetides will be introduced.
