The mechanism of over-voltage is studied according to the problems which are evoked when "traction network-anchor section of articulated electrical sectioning-electric locomotive" is dynamically running,such as potential over-voltage and the breakdown of roof insulation protective gap.Y/d-11 connection traction network,anchor section of articulated electrical sectioning and the electric locomotive transient model by electrical sectioning are created by using the EMTDC electromagnetic transient simulation tool,what' s more,transient simulation is repeated about traction condition and phase transition process,at last,over-voltage characteristics are studied when the locomotive is at different locations and different initial phase.Simulation results indicate that:The maximum voltage reaches 110.7kV,which is beyond isolation voltage 95KV of the locomotive roof.It is consistent with the measured data in the literature that provides guidance for over-voltage suppression measures of RC protection.
