Entrepreneurial University: The Strategic Choice for Current Chinese Universities

Entrepreneurial university is a brand-new ideology and paradigm. Under the background of the advent of knowledge-based economy, prevalence of academic capitalism, reduction of educational funds, readjustment of government policy and the emergence of the theory of triple helix, entrepreneurial university began to come into being and showed up on the stage. Chinese universities, currently facing the similar situation, now have to prudently reconsider their traditional mode of growing and developing. With a view to stand firmly on their own feet in both domestic and international arena, Chinese universities may probably have to modify or even reselect their future strategy as to choosing what paradigm for the university's long-term and sustainable development in the coming new era.
