The Roles of Hydrogen Business Councils in the Nation's Implementation of Hydrogen Energy(PPT)

Hydrogen energy continues to face many challenges: commercialization, regulatory certainty, risk management, societal preparation, competition from incumbent technology, realization of a value proposition and financing. These are all critical to success yet are matched in importance by the failures resulting from a lack of stakeholder coordination and collaboration. A national roadmap for hydrogen based upon a foundation of negotiated priorities is necessary to counteract the continuing disjointed pursuit of competing objectives. Candidate political champions lack effectivity because they are confused and distracted by the lobbying of narrowly focused interests. This presentation will offer a series of recommendations on conducting triage on a wounded industry and outline an approach toward rallying stakeholders using the hydrogen business council model.
