In the offshore oil and gas industry, diving comes into widespread use in drilling, platforms building and wells exploring. The OMAS has been used in the high-altitude inspection and maintenance, underwater drilling installation, pipeline inspection and underwater exploration. And, due to its atmospheric pressure design, the OMAS can be used in cold and dangerous environment. Some of the proven application of the OMAS in the offshore oil exploitation are: (1) Pipeline Installation and Detection. (2) Underwater Objects Location and Recovery. (3) Platform Observation and Waste Clearance. (4) Scientific Exploration and Research. The main powers' navies are equipped with excellent OMAS with routine access to the seafloor primarily in the 300-610m depth range. The OMAS are participated in the submarine rescue drill.
