Effective Governance and Utilization of Headwater City's River Channels in South-to-North Water Diversion-Case Study of Shiyan

摘要

The urban river channels of Shiyan, a headwater city for the middle route project of South-to-North water diversion, critically contaminated the water resource of Danjiangkou reservoir. This paper provided the solution of adjusting upper ground rivers to underground rivers. The change ensures effective governance development and utilization and guarantee and the quality of the water diverted. It also showed peat significance for Shiyan's development and unlimited long-term economic benefits.
