@@1 IntroductionThe mineralization rate is approximately 90% at Lashuixia Ni-Cu deposit, Hualong, Qinghai province. It is a small high-grade Ni-Cu-Co deposit, which is rare in nature environment. Since the deposit was found, people have paid much attention on it. However, the work of periphery prospecting has not got any breakthrough. Some experts suggest that Lashuixia Ni-Cu deposit has the same geological background and metallogenic characteristics as Jinchuan giant Ni-Cu deposit (Li W Y, 2006). But there have been few studies highlighting systemic contrasting between the two deposits. In this paper, we aim at comparing Lashuixia Ni-Cu deposit with Jinchuan giant Ni-Cu deposit in crystalline basement, ore-bearing mafic-ultramafic intrusions, geological and geochemical characters, and so on. Based on the contrasting research, the prospecting potential in Lashuixia Ni-Cu deposit is discussed.
