This paper presents the Exomars Descent Module avionic architecture. Firstly an overview of the Exomars mission in given in order to clarify the boundary conditions that are imposed by this mission. A very short description of the main modules composing the spacecraft is provided in order to identify the various elements. Then a detailed description of the avionic architecture of the Descent Module is presented showing the optimization studied, in particular the sharing of the computer between the Carrier Module and the Descent module. The proposed approach reflects the results of the phase B1 just completed with the System Requirement Review in April 2007. A preliminary approach for the software development is also shown as well as the solutions foreseen for power and radio frequency systems.
