Numerical Simulation of Spherical Charge Exploding in Soil Medium

摘要

In this paper, a 2-D Eulerian finite difference method for multi-material elastic-plastic hydrodynamic problems is presented. Based on this method, the calculation code MMIC-2D using C++ is compiled and the cavity formation and development process of spherical charge exploding in soil medium are numerically simulated. The simulation results are found to be in a good agreement with the principle of physics and experimental data, which indicates that the model and algorithm presented in this paper are reasonable and the numerical method can be used for engineering design.
