The pyrolysis behavior of the fuel rich propellant based on boron was analyzed and researched by thermalgravimetry analyze (TGA) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Measuring the explosive heat and burning rate of the propellants compared the difference of the burning performance between propellants in which boron was coated with and without AP. The results showed: When the propellants' formulations are the same, coating boron with AP can increase the explosive heat; condensed-phase releasing heat is increased and gas-phase releasing heat is decreased. The burning rate in low-pressure increase. Thus, improving the condensed-phase reaction can increase of the burning rate for fuel-rich propellant with boron in low-pressure condition.
