摘要

Two kinds of polyimides with side-group(-CH3) and their films have been produced. The polyimides produced were soluble in strong polar solvents such as NMP, DMAc and DMF. Compared with conventional polyimide films, the polyimide films obtained have excellent transparence, thermal stability, mechanical properties and negative birefringence. So these polyimides can be used as a negative birefringent film in liquid crystal display units.
