A Political Agent for Multi-agent Simulation of Spatial Planning Policy

Resend discussion in the field of agent development point to the direction of intelligent agents. These agents are provided with a more complex reasoning function than early agents. The paper presents an extended concept of apolitical agent with strategic planning capability. The agent is embedded in a multi-agent simulation of land use, but is not limited to this simulation application. After a short introduction, the paper describes the environment of the political agent, with economic agents, agro economic agents, citizen and natural environment. As main point the structure of the agent with perception, reasoning and planning function and decision module, based on game theory are explained in detail. Finally the scientific context and the expected scientific findings are outlined.
