Presentation of Public Video Switching Network of China Unicom

摘要

After two phases of construction, the public video switching network of China Unicom has become the largest IP technology based public video switching network platform with the widest coverage currently in the world. Through the comprehensive commercial operations for two years, it has been proved in practice that this project can satisfy the requirements of large scale Commercial operations of telecom carriers, flexibly provide video and voice services for subscribers as well as being & large scale successful experiment of a multimedia communications network project towards public operations. This article presents in such aspects as project profile, network structure, network advantages and so on while paying special attention to the engineering innovation made for meeting the needs of large scale operations of telecom carriers.
