Stakeholder Engagement Strategies for Nomads and Projects Affecting Multiple Communities

摘要

Stakeholder engagement is key to building community support for a geothermal project and avoiding substantial conflict in project planning and development. Effective stakeholder engagement efforts need to be tailored to the community that is affected by the project. This paper includes lessons learned from stakeholder consultations involving nomadic peoples in Africa and a geothermal exploration project that affected three different communities in different regions of Saint Lucia.
