摘要

We study in this paper the problem of atmospheric attenuation for a laser radiation in the visible and infrared bandwidth from an empirical and theoretical point of view. Then we describe the optical properties of the fog calculated from the full Mie scattering theory and 2 particle size distributions. We investigate the performances of the laser systems in presence of fog in the spectral region going from 0.4 to 15 μm from Fascod computation. Finally we propose fast transmission wavelength dependant relations, which enable us to predict the atmospheric attenuation in function of visibility without having recourse to important computer codes.
