PDP manufacturers have achieved the excellent performance to be comparable to digital High Definition CRT TV by improving the performance of the surface-discharge ac color PDPs. Young PDP engineers and scientists are trying to achieve the next generation of color PDPs. The performance in the next generation will open up a new world of large displays.
