The creep behavior of an immiscible polymer blend of recycled fractional melt flow high-density polyethylene and recycled polystyrene is studied. The creep behavior of this material is predicted utilizing a semi-empirical model previously developed. Stress-strain tests in compression were performed at varying strain rates to predict stress-strain tests at other specific strain rates and to predict creep behavior. Experimental and predicted creep results are compared. The samples tested were cut from four by four inch lumber-like profiles commercially produced by extrusion.
