摘要

Titanium-based in-situ composites are attractive materials for a wide range of applications because of their high specific strength and stiffness and good fracture-related properties [1,2]. The properties of these materials depend upon the composition and microstructure of the matrix, and upon the type, size and volume fraction of the reinforcing phase. In addition, the mechanical properties of the composite can be improved by thermomechanical processing after primary processing.
