The assembly and test of a low profile X-Band active phased array for satellite communications is presented in this paper. An array panel consisting of 784 active elements has been assembled. The functions of the radiator and TIR modules and signal distribution boards in the array have been verified using special test equipment. Good array performance has been demonstrated in a near-field probe range.
