摘要

Product quality may be judged on the basis of several quality characteristics, which requires a multi-dimensional tolerance synthesis. This paper develops a model for a two-dimensional deterministic tolerance synthesis. The model incorporates a sensitivity of tolerances to product variations, a customer loss due to a deviation from the customer identified target value, and manufacturing costs incurred to a manufacturer. This model is illustrated by a numerical example.
