WARRANTY PARTS RETURN CENTER - A FACILITIES DESIGN STUDY

This paper presents a facilities design case study for a major automotive manufacturer's new Warranty Parts Return Center and vehicle service center. These attached centers were recently built. This paper will demonstrate the use of a lean manufacturing philosophy and advanced analysis tools to design the layout, work-cells, and work flow for the parts return and analysis center and the service engineering center.
