Design and demonstration of Gigabit spectrum-sliced WDM systems employing directly modulated super luminescent diodes

For realizing spectrum-sliced WDM systems with over 1 Gbps per channel, this paper elucidates the slicing bandwidth that maximizes the loss budget between transmitters and receivers as well as demonstrates a directly modulated super luminescent diode.
