In recent years, with a increaisng growth of the capacity for supplying rolled steel, the domestic market price of rolled steel is reaching to the international price. At the same time, the external conditions of metallurgical enterprise, such as energy, raw material, transportation, and etc., will be linked with world market. The state-owned intermediate and small scale iron and steel enterprises are facing new challenges for survival and development. This article, with the characteristic of our regional market and running method, taking an example of HangZhou Iron & Steel Group Co., explains preliminarily about theqeustion of survival and development for intermediate and small iron & steel enterprises especially the local key enterprises.
