In the paper,a traffic control mechanism with leakybucket is introduce to control the burst traffic in ATM networks.In the Leaky-bucket,we introduce markov-modulated poisson process for the traffic source model and tokens are generated with a deterministic and periodic pattern.Using matrix analytical approach,an effective iterative algorithm is obtained.Finally,some numerical results and useful conclusions are given and verified through simulation.
