Benin

摘要

The Republic of Benin in West Africa has 4.7 million inhabitants and covers 112,600 km~2. Benin is bordered by Nigeria to the east, Togo to the west, Burkina Faso and Niger to the north, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Agriculture is the major sector of the national economy and is the basis of any development strategy. However, agriculture is quite vulnerable to the irregularity of the rains; Benin has two rainy seasons and two dry seasons in the south of the country and one rainy season and one dry season in the north.
