THE ROLE OF COLLABORATIVE RD IN FIRMS

Throughout the last decades, with progress of science and technology, a growing number of firms turn to external partners for achieving innovative ideas and new knowledge. Thus, in many phases, collaboration with other firms is chosen as the appropriate way of conducting R&D. In fact, collaborative R&D has become an important means of gaining access to R&D knowledge for many firms. Collaborative R&D is not a consortium and the stock is not be specified but also done a collaboration that both sides benefit. In this article, we have decided to demonstrate that how firms benefit from advantages of collaborative R&D and facilitating and accelerating the commercialization of new technologies and also considered a case study and then its consequences are analyzed.
