Utilization of acoustic waves in the field of cancer diagnosis and treatment because of simplicity and little damage to the adjacent tissue, has become one of the most common methods in these areas. The main objective of the present study is to simulate the propagation of focused acoustic waves in the healthy and cancerous tissues, numerically. Propagation of these waves leads to pressure drop in both tissue domain. Due to this pressure drop cavitation phenomena may develop. Results show that maximum and minimum pressure occur at the frequency of 1 MHz which are 1.44 MPa and -1.43 MPa, respectively. Moreover, despite the frequency domain, mechanical properties of the cancerous tissue has considerable effect on the resultant pressure field.
