Developments in Upward Casting of Dilute Copper Alloys Using Rautomead Continuous Casting Technology

Serious challenges are currently being placed on the wire and cable industry to provide solutions in the automotive, railway, aerospace, and electronics industries for cables with high conductivity and variously high tensile strength, high ductility, high softening temperatures, and low creep while avoiding materials presenting toxicity hazards. This paper describes recent development work to meet these demanding requirements.
