CREATETM-AV has developed software products to allow virtual simulation of coupled zero-dimensional (0-D) engine models and high-fidelity Navier-Stokes aircraft CFD using the Kestrel framework. Both transient and steady-state coupled solutions have been demonstrated. This paper will demonstrate the new tool applied to the prediction of inlet performance for the F-16, F-18, and A-10 aircraft. This new capability will serve to improve the fidelity of aircraft numerical simulations and can be used as a design tool or diagnostic technique to improve the quality and reduce the cost of future weapon systems. The new coupled engine model/CFD capability is available with Kestrel c4.0.
