The Studies of Flame Propagation Simulation in the Municipal Pipeline

The flame is dangerous, and flame propagation would bring more damage. However, the generation and propagation of the flame is conditional, and it's easier to realize in a closed or half-closed space such as pipeline. The accident of Huangdao '11.22' pipeline explosion showed the harm of the flame in the pipeline. Based on a numerical simulation method, the flame of premixed methane-air in the underground drains was studied, and the results showed the flame propagation state of the premixed methane-air in underground drains in different conditions and the impact on external space. This research could provide the theory instruction for prevention and emergency measures of pipeline explosion accidents, so it has certain practical significance.
