This paper presents the appearance of the self-modulation phenomenon through resonant jumps in variable feedback nonlinear systems harmonically excited. The excitation signal has constant amplitude and frequency. The considered unity feedback system contains, on the forward path, both a variable linear part, as well as a variable saturation-type nonlinear part. The variable linear part acts as a low-pass filter. The nonlinear part consists in a variable-range, constant-slope saturation-type nonlinearity. The linear part varies by its transfer coefficient. For such a system, the appearance of the self-modulation phenomenon through resonant jumps at the variation both of the linear part, as well as of the nonlinear part, is studied. The envelope of the modulated oscillations is a slow oscillation. Its periodicity depends upon the influence of some external factors on the variable parameters of the linear or nonlinear part of the system.
