Study on As-cast Austenite-Bainite Ductile Cast Iron

The feasibility to produce as-cast Austenite-Bainite ductile cast iron by alloying was investigated in this study. The effects of Ni on the microstructures and mechanical properties of as-cast Austenite-Bainite ductile cast iron with fixed Cu and Mo contents were studied, and the effects of Cu was also carried out for the as-cast Austenite-Bainite ductile cast iron with constant Ni and Mo. The results shows that the as-cast Austenite-Bainite ductile cast iron can get high mechanical properties of σ_b=1184MPa and δ=3.1% when the alloying elements were added at a best proportion.
