An Algorithm of Fast Generating Reversible Progressive Meshes

摘要

On the basis of analyzing the existing Progressive Mesh (PM) methods, this paper proposes a new structure of a mesh to simplify information record and a new progressive mesh generating algorithm based on Edge-Collapsed mesh simplification method. In this algorithm, the ambiguous problem in PM technology is solved, and the speed of generating progressive meshes is improved largely.
