In this report an extensive set of reaction times data are presented which collected over a large range of stimulus conditions including color as a relevant parameter. Color adds information improving visual performance since the isoluminant conditions up to values close to ± 30%, RTs show a tendency towards common values between 300 and 350 ms. The visual component of Reaction Times can be described by a compression law as a function of luminance contrast -considering both polarity- and size of the stimulus. Visual RTs are independent of the stimulus size for stimulus greater than 0.5°. Color detection seems to be mediated by higher order mechanisms that are sensible to the cardinal directions and, also to intermediate colors.
